Nutrient Dense, Crispy Pecans

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups raw pecan pieces or halves
  • 2 tsp. real salt
  • Good quality water

Instructions
 

  • Mix pecans with good quality salt and water. Make sure the nuts are completely submerged in the water. Soak for at least 7 hours and then drain in a colander. Spread the pecans on dehydrator trays to be placed in the dehydrator or baking pans to be placed in the oven. Dry the pecans at about 150 degrees or as low as your oven will go for about 12 hours or until they are completely dry and crisp. If using the oven, make sure to turn them occasionally. Store in the refrigerator in an air-tight container.
