Fun Farm Fact:

Our Katahdin hair sheep do not need to be sheared. You may be able to see in this video from a few days ago that they are starting to shed their winter coat. Every once in a while, I will be walking in the pasture and panicking, thinking we have a dead lamb, but thankfully it turns out to be one of the ewe’s winter coats. Hair sheep do not have as much lanolin, and we along with many of our customers, have noticed that the meat is a lot milder. Have you tried lamb? Watch the video here
