Our family made up this game a few years ago to play at our Christmas. We had so much fun that we have played it several times with other families that we had over to our farm. Everyone has said they really enjoyed playing it and one family even went home and made up their own version of it. It’s great for building relationships, getting to know other people, and the laughter it brings is good for all of us. We especially love playing it on the holidays. The fact that all ages can participate is the best part. So often you find the men visiting in one area, the women in another, and kids off playing and possibly causing trouble. This game brings everyone together! Let’s encourage family togetherness.

Quote of the Week and Cleansing Update
The processed foods we eat are often practically devoid of proper nutrients and fiber. Foods are adulterated with chemicals, additives, preservatives, dyes, and other artificial ingredients to keep them beautiful, tasty, fluffy, and perpetually free from the ravages of shelf spoilage. The cleaning products and personal care products we use are also full of toxic chemicals. . . and environmental pollutants abound. . . Our high- stress lifestyles shift our nervous systems from a calm, healthy parasympathetic state to a stressed, fight-or flight, adrenaline- driven, sympathetic condition. . . We can help them out with a good cleanse.

Our family has avoided processed meats for many years, (even organic) but we really did enjoy them, so I have worked hard to recreate some of our favorites. I have experimented with this recipe for several years, and I finally have it the point that we really love it, and now I can share it with you!

A few years ago a friend confided in me that she was frustrated with the medical community. Her husband had been experiencing extremely high blood sugars, and when he had gone to his recent appointment, he was told that he didn’t need to change his diet, (he loves sugar) but he just needed to take his medication for his type 2 diabetes. I’m not saying he would get this advice from every professional, but I was reminded that we can’t blindly trust wisdom just because someone has a degree, license, etc.

This story is another reminder that we need to seek the Lord’s wisdom first, do our own research, and make observations about our own health. Our flesh loves to hear things like we can eat whatever we want, but it’s not wise.
I have learned in recent years that there are herbs that will heal diseases that I was taught could never be healed, and that we could only reduce the symptoms of these. What if I had not questioned this knowledge? I can’t imagine where our family would be today. I’m so thankful the Lord opened our eyes and for the people that have had the courage to share a different way of thinking. I encourage you my friend to not be too trusting and more importantly to seek the Lord in everything.
