Always Question

A few years ago a friend confided in me that she was frustrated with the medical community. Her husband had been experiencing extremely high blood sugars, and when he had gone to his recent appointment, he was told that he didn’t need to change his diet, (he loves sugar) but he just needed to take his medication for his type 2 diabetes. I’m not saying he would get this advice from every professional, but I was reminded that we can’t blindly trust wisdom just because someone has a degree, license, etc.

This same person recently went to a different country to seek medical help, because his blood sugars have not improved, and he was told that he needed to change his diet and was given a list of foods to avoid along with different medications.

This story is another reminder that we need to seek the Lord’s wisdom first, do our own research, and make observations about our own health. Our flesh loves to hear things like we can eat whatever we want, but it’s not wise.

I have learned in recent years that there are herbs that will heal diseases that I was taught could never be healed, and that we could only reduce the symptoms of these. What if I had not questioned this knowledge? I can’t imagine where our family would be today. I’m so thankful the Lord opened our eyes and for the people that have had the courage to share a different way of thinking. I encourage you my friend to not be too trusting and more importantly to seek the Lord in everything.

Natural Relief of Ear Pain

After one of my kids received a very strong antibiotic by mistake over 15 years ago, and suffered many health challenges because of it, I have been determined to find natural solutions to our health problems. Even more important, I try to focus on prevention. I have used many natural solutions for earaches with success, and praise the Lord nobody has had to take any form of medicine since that time, but the onion trick seems to work right away where the other ones might take more work. This is now my go to right away as soon as someone has even a slight earache.

A Unique, Natural, Romantic Valentine Idea

When most people think of doing something special for Valentines Day, they often think of going somewhere (usually eating out). But, I have a unique and fun idea that I think you would really enjoy. Not only will you feel better the next day, I believe you will grow closer in your relationship to your spouse as well. My husband and I are very committed to eating natural and traditional food, spending time together, and saving money, so these ideas are not unique to us, but they may be to you.

We Are Back!

Our website utilizing our new host is finally working and seems a lot faster. There are still some corrections to be made with some of the links in the posts, but it’s very usable. We haven’t had any issues with recent orders, but please let me know if you have any trouble or have any questions.

Eight months ago, I cut way back on my content creation, emails, and also let my website expire because I was unsure what our future looked like. As some of you already know, Cory left his full-time job a few years ago to serve people with his electrical skills. Praise the Lord he has been keeping busy and in high demand. Because of this, last spring we started considering letting go of all of our other businesses and focusing on growing more food for our family. We were both overwhelmed and really struggling at that time. After a few months, I really missed all that I was doing, but was thankful for the extra time to get more organized, get more projects done, and spend more time with my family.
